Last Sunday, we had the opportunity to spend the day with the energetic founder of Nikita Hair, Inger Ellen Nicolaisen. It was an inspiring day hanging out with the beauty magnate whom willing shared advice on enptreperenurialship and believing in yourself. Inger dropped out of school and had her first child at an early age. She was forced to start businesses to support her new family because she was too young to get a job. Headstrong and strong-willed Inger tried a variety of ventures before she started opening beauty salons.
With a policy of taking care of their “whole” client, Nikita Hair became an undeniable success. Today, Nikita Hair is the largest and leading hairdressing chain in Scandinavia; and Inger is looking to replicate that success in the US.
The beauty blogger luncheon kicked off at Inger’s beautiful estate in Boca Raton. We had the chance to meet several of Inger’s family members and hear her story. One of the luncheon attendees will be chosen as a Nikita Hair USA brand ambassador and will go on a trip to Scandinavia. How exciting is that?! Other perks of being a brand ambassador include working with many of Inger’s other brands including her skin care line Eleni and Chris.
After enjoying lunch and sipping champagne, we were whisked away to the Nikita salon in a white stretch limo. We explored and tested Eleni and Chris – the salon’s exclusive Scandinavian Salon Signature Collection of hair care and skin care. Models debuted fabulous hairstyles and the bloggers received a signature goodie bag filled with Eleni and Chris haircare and skin care products and complimentary salon services. The salon is bright, modern, and inviting. The perfect place to relax and pamper yourself for those of us who see self care as a top priority.

The staff was professional, friendly, and very talented. One of the models had a gorgeous braid up-do – perfect for a special occasion or formal event. Nikita is currently running a monthly special of a hair wash and blow-out for $39. Another fun offer to try is the buy any two products and receive a travel size hair care for free.
We tried the skin mister and it’s really refreshing. You can mist it over your make up during the day and it won’t run.
