Sprint invited 20 South Florida to the VIP Art Basel evening of experiencing art. There were graffiti stations where you could give the art form a go. Graffiti artists shared their tips and tricks as you worked your magic with the spray cans.
There was a screen printing station where we saw our very own goodie bags get screened. The gift bags were chock-full of goodies with phone battery backups, #FloridaStrong phone grips, selfie sticks and more!
What are #FloridaStrong phone grips? Sprint took wood from trees uprooted in South Florida by Hurricane Irma to make #FloridaStrong phone grips. The grips will only be available (for a suggested donation of $5) in Sprint stores in Miami-Dade – including Coral Gables – for a limited time and 100 percent of the proceeds will go a local charity.
The main event was the unveiling of the mural by local artist Ruben Ubiera. He spoke a few words about the meaning of the mural and how it represents South Florida. Then, we all took photos with the man of the hour. He’s so nice and down to earth.
