South Florida Bloggers’ February meetup was madness — but in a good way. We had more members than chairs, which is always a good nice. Speaking of those chairs, each was extra special because they had goodie bags filled with samples from brands like Neutrogena, Kendra Scott, Zonin Prosecco, and Books & Books.
The Blogger Union founder, Paola Mendez, kicked off the packed event with news, updates, and a beautiful reminder to keep the kind collaboration among all of us.
Veteran blogger Annie Vazquez of The Fashion Poet gracefully shared her blogging wisdom, while The Blogger Union’s co-founder Nikki Novo moderated the inspirational talk. Some of Annie’s tips included:
- To embrace our uniqueness rather than worry about competition
- Invest in a photographer
- Blogging can be your full time job! Woohoo!
- Make some noise for yourself in your city by hosting events
- And to really make sure you love what you do before embarking on this sometimes-turbulent journey
The informative sesh ended with a Q&A, photos, and lots of hugs.
