About Paola Mendez (

Paola Mendez is a serial entrepreneur, the founder of South Florida Bloggers, and the kind spirit behind The Blogger Union.
Paola’s talent for creating communities began in 2007 when she founded Pinkghost, a designer toy store, gallery, and haven for local and international artists. Pinkghost artist products, a collaboration between Paola and her favorite artists, were sold at stores around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Gothernburg Museum, Kidrobot, and

Today, Paola continues to run an eclectic portfolio of online businesses, including Coral Gables Love —the most influential online hub in Coral Gables— Dapper Animals, and Cool Gifting.

Previous to life online, she was a web developer in the finance and media industry. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Miami and a Masters in Information Systems, where she graduated as the valedictorian of her class at Florida International University.

On her down time, you can catch Paola playing drums in her cover band (along with her partner Brian, her sister, and brother-in-law) or snuggling with her toy Yorkie, Pancho.

Mei Jorge is the founder and creative mind behind the award-wining and bilingual style, beauty and travel blog Blame it on Mei. This Cuban-born gal’s passion with fashion dates back to her childhood’s tropical surroundings. She describes her style as feminine, classic and chic; with subtle but undeniable pops of colors.

Her clean and fresh aesthetics has called the attention of several national and international brands. Mei has worked with retailers like Macy’s, Kohl’s, Coach, Saks OFF 5th, Banana Republic, and Ralph Lauren among others. And in the beauty genre, she has been part of campaigns for Dove, Neutrogena, Gillette Venus, Aveeno and Colleen Rothschild Beauty to name a few. Mei has also worked with a few enigmatic South Florida hotel brands like Hilton and The Biltmore, and while abroad, with Secrets Resorts.

Another of Mei’s deep appetite is traveling. Along with her husband of 10 years, she has visited over 20 countries, and through her adventures both abroad and in her hometown city of Miami, she hopes to inspire women to dress and feel better about themselves no matter the price tag, age, lifestyle or personal circumstances.

Mei enjoys sharing her knowledge of the blogsphere and has been invited to be a speaker at We All Grow Summit 2018 in Long Beach, California, Hispanicize Week 2018 in Downtown, Miami and during events for local chapters of The Blogger Union also in Miami. As another accomplishment, she was recently awarded with ‘Best Lifestyle Blogger of 2017’ by South Florida Bloggers.

Mei and her husband currently welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Julian.
