Where to Buy a Professional WordPress Theme
There are several places you can find beautiful premium themes with all the features you want. We recommend the following WordPress theme marketplaces:
Theme Forest
Etsy WordPress Themes
Step 2: Install Your New Theme
When you purchase a premium WordPress theme, you’ll receive a zip folder with your theme and instructions that tell you how to use your new theme (also called documentation).
Upload Theme to WordPress
Uploading your theme is easy. In your WordPress Dashboard, go to the left hand navigation and find “Appearance > Themes.”
Click the “Add New” button at the top of the page. Then, click the “Upload Theme” button. Find the zip folder you just purchased and click “Install Now”.
Install Required Plugins
Some themes bring additional features that show your Instagram feed or has a subscribe to my newsletter section. These additional features require you to install plugins. Don’t worry, it’s easy too.
If your theme requires you to install additional plugins, you’ll see a little warning pop-up after you install your theme. It looks like this:
Click on the link that says “begin installing plugins”. It will take you to a page listing all the plugins you need. Check them all off and from the drop-down menu select “Install”, then click the “Apply” button.
Step 3: Customize Your Theme
Now you’re ready to add you logo and your photos to make this theme your own. In the dashboard, go to “Appearance > Customize”. Browse through the different menus and change what you like to make the theme match your branding.
