Orlando Bloggers April Meetup was hosted at Pipoca Popcorn located in Baldwin Park, FL. The shop is quaint and so cute, it was a perfect setting for our meet-up. Our speaker was Kelly Varner, an artist, and graphic designer, and our topic was, Pinterest Graphics for a Rocking Blog.
Kelly recommended to repin our pins three days after the first initial pin, a week later and then a month later. She also suggested pinning at least 30 – 50 images a day because the more you pin, the more you will show up in another person’s feed.. With Tailwind, you can schedule your pins to post later. We also learned that the colors pink and red seem to be more attractive colors for audiences. If you want to allow your audience to go from Pinterest to your blog, then you will be using a feature called Rich Pin.
Kelly’s talk received many thumbs up as many in the chapter were wondering how to grow their brand on Pinterest. Although it rained it still did not keep us away from making the meet-up and hanging out afterward to catch up, connect with our other fellow bloggers/creators, and take pictures.
Thank you, Kelly, for sharing your knowledge with us!
Many thanks to Pipocoa Popcorn for your hospitality and treating us to snacks again.
