The owners of Swensen’s invited the South Florida Bloggers to a Beer Shake Party and we discovered a brand new menu. Swensen’s has been a South Florida establishment since 1977, but it’s time we all become reacquainted with this restaurant. Two months ago they revamped their menu to offer amazing gourmet burgers and craft beers.
When we arrived we were all greeted by the passionate team behind Swensen’s: owners Cinthia and Saud Rai; and Swensen’s craft beer expert Riky Borroto. These three craft beer aficionados decided to marry their love of craft beer and ice cream to make beer shakes. The bloggers got to try two different beer shake flavors: banana fosters and cafe con leche. They both were sweet, rich and delicious, but my personal favorite was the coffee beer shake. The beer and the chocolate were the perfect combination.

It was very moving to see how excited the owners are about their new additions to the menu; and to see them add a little of their personality to their restaurant. The Rais are also hard core Star Wars fans and have decided to share their love for the franchise with their customers. Their wifi networks are named after characters in the movies, they play Star Wars movies and dress up as Star Wars characters on special occasions such as Halloween or a Star Wars movie release.
