Guests took their seats, white envelopes were opened, and the winners of the first-ever South Florida Bloggers Awards were announced. On this past Saturday we celebrated the wins of the community at the historic Langford Hotel.

Bloggers put in a lot of hours to keep their sites in tip-top shape, and we wanted to acknowledge all your efforts. For that reason, our last meet-up of 2016 was all about remembering that we love what you do, and we want more!

Of course, we also like to have a little fun more often than not. So we started the ceremony with a glass of Korbel Prosecco while another group of bloggers joined in on the first round of cocktail prep courtesy of Breakthru Beverage and Coopers’ Craft Bourbon. The tables were set up with all the ingredients for a refreshing cocktail.

From the simple syrup to the fanciful spirits, we worked our way clockwise, shook things a bit, and then poured it up. A Blackberry Bramble was exactly what we needed to sweeten up the day even more.

When the ceremony was ready to begin, we all moved outdoors to the Langford Terrace. The stage was set to a beautiful flower curtain created and carefully hung by the lovely ladies from Miami Flower Market. Every bud lined the wall and made for an amazing backdrop for selfies.

South Florida Bloggers Awards Roxy NBC6

Guests trickled in and took their seats on the crisp white chairs that were set up by the incredible team from Bello Event Rentals. Our fabulous emcee, Roxanne Vargas from NBC 6 In The Mix, kicked things off. Roxy introduced the South Florida Bloggers Chapter Officers who one by one called out the nominees for each category.

As the afternoon progressed, we began moving downstairs to the Sky Lounge inside the Langford Hotel for meet and greet. There were photo opportunities thanks to the classic furniture from West Elm Dadeland and Macy’s; and of course, handmade backdrops by Vintage Unicorn Design, who also hand-lettered prints onsite for bloggers to share their social media handle.

Things surely got social with an open bar featuring Cooper’s Craft Bourbon and Breakthru Beverage. We also enjoyed a sweet afternoon delight from Morelia Gourmet Paletas like the passion fruit filled with condensed milk and banana with nutella.

South Florida Bloggers Awards goodie bag

Every attendee took home a goodie bag thanks to our many sponsors from Neutrogena, Case App, Paletas Morelia, The Langford Hotel and Miami Flower Market. We are overfilled with joy and look forward to celebrating with you all once again in the coming year.
